PNP Care Home offers a friendly homely environment with accommodation arranged in 13 single bedrooms and 3 double rooms over three floors, serviced by a passenger lift. Each bedroom is individually decorated and contains a nurse call system and television points.. There are three separate lounges for the residents to enjoy in which one is converted to activity lounge with tele text televisions, and music systems and other Dementia friendly activity sets and materials. The home has been thoughtfully designed to maximize space whilst meeting all present fire regulations. Staff receive fire training and the home boasts a modem fire alarm system.
The home is owned by Mr Tamata, director of PNP Care Home Limited. The home is managed by Sara Beardall, who is the Registered Manager. Sara has worked in Health and Social Care for 26years on and off, Sara left the industry and gained management and HR Experience within the newspaper industry and returned to care in 2009 and managed various locations and became a registered manage. Sara has obtained diverse range of training and experience in dementia/ mental health/ end of life etc, Sara has NVQ Level 3 and is currently undertaking level 5 and is always keen to undertake any training to help her grow within the field. Sara is assisted by senior carers, who are qualified to N.V.Q level 3-4 in care. They are aided by a full compliment of carers, the majority having or working towards an N.V.Q level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
All staff are trained in principals of care, safe working and the role of the carer and the specific needs of the home’s service users. The staff are further trained in a variety of areas including food hygiene, moving and handling, first aid and much more. There is a modern kitchen with a qualified cook on site to facilitate the delivery of good quality, homely food for residents
